Description

Solar Igniter Fire Starter for $2.99 No, I’m not selling these, but I bought several and so can you. Whenever I find cool stuff, I want to share. I hope this is ok as I would have blogged about it instead but couldn’t get the blog link to work. Trey, let me know if I’m out of bounds here. These are on sale until 13 January 2017 and they come on a slow boat from China, but they are a fairly reliable supplier and these are “free” shipping. If you order 3 or more, you get a discount. The reviews on these by survivalists/preppers has been good. They work, but I was waiting for the price to drop. It has dropped. I just ordered 5, and there are currently (as of this writing) 188 in stock. Here is the link:

  1. You tried them out yet? They’ve got my attention.

If you’re interested in the blog I’ll set one up this weekend. Appreciate you being considerate. I’m going to keep this a firearms related sale page but this has sparked my interest in the blog idea. I’d like to see the firearms first community connect however it pleases.

And I’m always down for preppers connnecting. Excellent post. I’ll leave it up and get that blog up ASAP.

  2. Hi Trey. This is Garry Myers from our interactions on Facebook. My grandkids (and sometimes the grownups) call me Pappy. I just ordered my 5 today, so I expect they won’t be in my hands from China for a couple of weeks (price of free shipping). Even though I wouldn’t consider myself a prepper, I have watched youtube reviews and read reviews by folks I trust on this little dude and I am sure it works as advertised. I just was not willing to pay the 4 or 5 bucks for them when I know they routinely sell at discount. Of course, they run out fast when they do. You might consider selling some tactical crap via affiliate programs or wholesale programs (banggood.com, amazon, etc). Some of the programs send straight to the customer so you don’t warehouse crap waiting to sell. Just a thought to help pay for your venture with the GunTrader websites. When I think guns, I think hunters, outdoorsman, preppers, surviva…hell, there’s a lot of people that like guns with many related interest. Great pool of potential advertisers too. 😉

  3. Another thought. Offer the blog to real gun experts…perhaps concealed carry instructors, law enforcement, second amendment proponents/attorneys and gunsmiths…for free. If they take you up on it, I’m sure it wouldn’t be long and they would be adding to viewership…and thus it would benefit them to advertise to the growing viewership. Don’t get me wrong, I like guns and own my share (almost)…but I like dabbling in being helpful more than I like real work. LOL

  4. BTW, USCCA has a bunch of youtube series that are worth watching for any gun enthusiast. I personally receive Kevin Michalowski’s (not sure about spelling) “Into the Fray” youtube episodes every week via email and watch them religiously. And viewers are invited by him to share his videos…I’d share them right here if I were you. Maybe check with USCCA if they are ok with that first…bet they are. There are almost 150 episodes (so far) and each last only a few minutes. So, finding stuff you think is pertinent and useful to your viewers would potentially add traffic. See…I told you I’m not about real work, but I am more than happy to watch others.
